All you have to do is walk close enough to the enemy to trigger his aggressive response and then hold down the spacebar and a direction button so your character attacks repeatedly. You don't even have to button-mash in Ninja. Bad fighting games have crummy fighting engines you can simply button-mash your way through or terrible flaws that make the game completely unfair. Good fighting games have balanced and in-depth fighting systems with a good array of balanced characters. It can't even claim to be a bad action game since there really isn't any.
